Job Summary
As part of the U.S. Real Assets Financial Management and Controlling Group team, the senior accountant is responsible for financial, accounting and reporting services for a group of equity real estate funds and ventures managed by AXA Investment Managers - Real Assets. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic deal-driven work environment. The position will be responsible for a broad range of accounting and reporting and finance topics for assigned portfolios and will interact regularly with clients, professional advisors, property managers and joint venture partners and work closely with the asset management, fund management and transaction teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparation and quarterly and annual accounts and GAAP Investment Company Guide financial statements for separate accounts and ventures managed by AXA Investment Managers - Real Assts platform.Oversee and manage outsourced accounting performed by fund administrators, property managers, JV partners or other service providers
• Prepare investor reports, capital call and distribution notices
• Work with internal asset managers and external property managers to oversee investment-level financial topics
• Assist in cash management and portfolio cashflow modelling for assigned portfolios
• Calculate management fees and waterfalls
• Assist with providing financial information needed for compliance and regulatory filings
• Assist in overseeing audits and coordination of tax preparation by external accounting firms
• Assist with the annual budget process, including working with property managers, JV partners and asset managers to ensure accurate reporting AXA Investment Managers - Real Assets supports a hybrid working environment and anticipates that the Senior Accountant will to work in the Midtown Manhattan office several days a week and work remotely the balance of the week.

Education and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/tax, finance, or economics
• CPA license Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably working in a large public accounting firm or real estate fund sponsor Knowledge and Skills
• Proficiency in US GAAP, IFRS, fair value accounting and Investment Company Guide and other real estate industry reporting standards.
• Knowledge of REITs, real estate funds and real estate joint ventures a plus. Competencies
• Analytical ability, pragmatic approach to tackling complex assignments.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively and handle multiple projects effectively within tight deadlines and to operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate with teams in the U.S. and overseas; able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Strong excel skills, familiarity with general ledger accounting platforms and comfortable navigating new technology.
